In the end the culprit is Fooled by that person they killed 20 years ago. Believing his plan would work but their boss has high IQ so it did lead him to his imprisonment.

this whole case and episode was so confusing and full of plot twists like it got to a point where i wasn't even surprised and just wanted it to end like come on stop playing with us like that, let us know the truth... i was really exhausted and hella confused like never before... i didn't like the episode but the ending was good i never expected that fat coward to be the culprit!!!

i noticed they started using new effects for this new millennium episode, for example the fire effects was real fire footage incorporated in the animation, the ocean waves too they looked so 3D and real and so on...

While I wasn't fooled by the fake corpse, didn't believe Kanie would kill himself and was suspicious of Saizou being there, Kujirai's acting was pretty good and I did not suspect him more than the other ones.
I had a feeling some kind of play could be made with Furukawa Masaru, but I didn't think of turning it 90°, which in retrospective I should have because Conan noticed something after the letter got stuck at the railing.

So the mastermind of the heiss has dead, her daughter wanted to take revenge, Hatori was saved by fisherman. My questions are, how could the body burnt so much that nobody could have recognized who he is even tho it wasnt burnt for a long time? I still don’t understand how the perpetrator shot himself. And how did Conan know that Hatori was saved?

- Maybe he got burned badly with gasoline.
- He used silencer on the gun I'm not sure about the glass breaking up as the fake shot.
- I think Conan guessed that he swam away to get help after he fell from the ship and it's just luck that Hatori appeared just then.

I bet the woman is the killer and she made this cruise to invite all the other theives who killer her father who 'died in the ocean', who didn't actually die at sea but was killed and his body dumped in the ocean. And then she invited Hattori so that he could prove it. The clock at 26:24, I feel like everyone owns or knows someone who has a similar one to it, we have one that looks a bit like it at our house too. lmao "Heizou's offspring", why'd he have to say it like that. Now it's Hattori vs. Shinichi, I wonder how that'll turn out. Since Conan (Shinichi) is the mc of the series he's probably gonna be the one who is right, but it'd be nice to see him be wrong every once-in-a-while. noooooooooooooo! Hattori! Wait so was Hattori just abandoned in the middle of the ocean!? Conan don't say Hattori is "swimming with the fishes" it makes it sound like he's dead. Though considering he now knows he's in the ocean that probably means someone found him, like the coast guard or something. Oh thank goodness Hattori is ok, he's lucky a fisherman had been nearby. Hattori is so cute. I was wrong about who the killer was but this was also a really good episode.
